Canada's largest oceanographic research centre. Requires about one hour to visit. Displays, audio-visual presentations and small aquariums. Suitable for individuals and small groups. Guided tours are available by appointment for organized groups only (in English and French). The tours include the Sea Pavilion which houses touch tanks and viewing tanks containing native marine species. Call (902) 426-2373 for tours. Tours offered May through August. Gift shop available. Free admission.
